АBOUT FACULTY
According to the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, May 24, 2017 PQ-3003, there was established Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. The faculty of agricultural mechanization was formed in 1920 in Tashkent. Within 8 faculties of Turkiston State University there was formed a technical faculty. In 1934, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) was established. And the faculty of "Agricultural Mechanization" was also formed, and those years more than 400 students were trained at the faculty. Teachers of the faculty did a great contribution to the process of agricultural mechanization: they worked out recommendations on the development of seedlings, cotton cultivators, chemicals, cotton harvesting machines, tractors and efficient use of technology. At the faculty there were organized specialized departments such as "Agricultural Machinery", "Tractors and Automobiles", "Operation and repair of machines" and "General technical sciences". Graduates of the faculty did a great contribution to the complex agricultural mechanization of the Republic. Today the position of the graduates are: the regional and district khokims, members of the government of the Republic, many designers and scientists. President of the Republic Mirziyoev Shavkat Miromonovich studied at the faculty in 1976-1981. Today at the faculty are trained more than 16,000 qualified engineer - mechanics, about 5,000 bachelors ` and about 600 masters` degree students.Today 825 students are studying at the faculty.
